Houses & Apartments

A wide range of rental accommodation is available in the city centre, leafy suburbs and at the beaches. Students often rent together. Price will depend upon the number of people sharing, location and quality of the premises. A guide is somewhere between A$100 to A$150 per person, per week.

Allow approximately A$60 to A$100 per person extra for food, electricity and telephone expenses. Short and long term rentals are available. Check newspapers, real estate agents and websites and notice boards for rental availability.

Hotels & Resorts

Cairns has an excellent range of hotels, resorts, motel and self contained units. Prices and length of stay vary considerably. More information is available through the TTNQ link.

Hostels

This is an option for the budget option. Cairns has a wide range of single, twin and shared dormitory style rooms. Rooms are clean and basically furnished. Generally no meals are provided. Access to communal kitchen, bathroom and laundry facilities.
