Secondary Schools
- Five year school program for ages 12-17 years (Years 8-12)
- Older students are accepted by special arrangement
- Students can combine Queensland core subjects with special interest study areas
- Uniforms are worn by students attending secondary school
- School hours are Monday to Friday from about 0845 to 1515 hours

- Trinity Anglican School: known as TAS in the local community, warmly welcomes international students. - Catholic Education Services: Operate five secondary colleges. Three secondary colleges are in the City of Cairns and two colleges are in regional centres within 120kms of Cairns that can provide an Australian rural experience for visitors. Education is to matriculation standard and programs are based on the Queensland State accredited syllabus. Boarding facilities are available for students wishing to complete these programs.
- Education Queensland International - Cairns & FNQ: A division of the Queensland Government Department of Education. EQI is an internationally respected education provider that has been providing international education programs and services for over 10 years. In this time, EQI has welcomed students, teachers and school administrators from all over the world.
