Sun Pacific College

Sun Pacific College had more than 15 years of experience in the English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS) industry before merging into the SPC group. Together, the two schools have already taught more than 3,000 students and throughout the years, have achieved a lot.

SPC first opened its doors in the Cairns CBD in 2001 and never stopped growing. Against all odds the campus moved to Kewarra Beach in 2011, a residential suburb north of Cairns to ensure students focused their energy on developing their English skills in a quiet and peaceful location, only a short bike ride from the beach. It does not matter if you are a beach lover or a city slicker, either way the SPC Group can welcome you.

SPC is run by a group of non-conformists; people who don’t settle and truthfully believe can always achieve and conquer more. For this reason, SPC is constantly changing and renovating for a regular feeling of freshness. We believe in quality education, and our biggest aim is to become the best English teaching group in Australia. We work hard every day to provide the best environment for our students by investing in our teachers’ development and school facilities.

We understand how daunting it can be to leave home and move overseas to an English-only environment. Therefore, we provide support to students regarding every aspect of their stay.

SPC Journal: In order to monitor students’ motivation and awareness of their efforts, it is required that students complete one journal entry each day which is read by their teachers. Our journal is a great part of what we believe in as education providers.

Extracurricular Reading Material: Reading is a great strategy for acquiring new vocabulary in English. Therefore, SPC students have graded readers according to their levels, and they are asked to complete a minimum of one book a week.

After Class Consultation Hour: For those who need orientation and/or guidance doing homework, or have questions about the content seen in the classes, SPC offers a FREE consultation hour with teachers every afternoon.
