University
Australian universities offer three main levels of education:
- Bachelors Degree: 3 years or 4 years with Honours
- Masters Degree: By research or coursework as a higher level of study for graduates
- PhD: By research and course work
International students can also take one or two semesters (6-12 months) in Australia and then, subject to prior approval from the home university, gain credit towards their degree at home under the Study Abroad program
Study is made up of a mixture of lectures, tutorials, seminars and practical work in libraries, laboratories or on field trips. Small class numbers and the friendly atmosphere ensures personal attention and learning support from staff and academics.
