Who is Study Cairns?
Study Cairns was established in 1997 to unify providers of international education and international support services in promoting the Cairns Region as the preferred international education destination in Queensland. Study Cairns is recognised globally as the leading representative organisation for international education and training in the Cairns region.
Study Cairns is a collaborative international education and training network and marketing cluster in the Cairns region, showcasing the quality and range of study options available. It represents organisations, institutions and businesses in Cairns that are dedicated to providing help and support to students when they are studying in the region.
Study Cairns facilitates business development opportunities for members through networking, resource sharing and advocacy for business involving education, training or support services within the region. This includes student and agent enquiries along with education businesses wishing to expand their markets into this region.
Study Cairns is responsible for building relationships between local providers and international students wishing to study, live and travel in the Cairns region, supporting best practices to promote positive student experiences.
It is the key stakeholder which liaises with Study Queensland, Department of Education and Training, Cairns Regional Council, Advance Cairns, Austrade and other industry bodies involved with increasing and improving education and training within Australia, Queensland and more importantly, far north Queensland.
We welcome enquiries from students, Education Institutions (small E and I) and businesses focused on international education and training, whether locally, nationally or internationally.
Cairns Student Hub
Study Cairns manages the Cairns Student Hub which offers a supportive environment and CBD meeting place to enhance international student experiences while in Cairns. Cairns Student Hub is supported by Study Queensland and Cairns Regional Council, is staffed by former international students and has an active calendar of events to encourage international student engagement.
The Cairns Student Hub is co-funded with the support of the Queensland Government's International Education and Training Partnership Fund, managed by Study Queensland within Trade and Investment Queensland.
