What are the benefits of studying online?
If you are looking to study but you live in a remote location, or simply want more flexibility to adjust your learning schedule, then online study might be just what you're looking for!
Distance or online learning is a more flexible alternative to on-campus learning as you can enrol and study all year round and not be limited by other colleges traditional semesters. Some of the benefits of distance education is that you can control your study time: you do not have to sit in class for long periods of time: lessons and resources can be accessed when needed, and you can have access to teachers on a one to one basis.
YouStudy students choose to study at a distance because it suit them for a variety of reasons as they may be working fulltime, running a family or living in a remote location. Our online Study Centre allows students to connect to their studies in a variety of online/mobile methods via PC, IPad, IPhone and most popular android tablets and phones.
Can I enrol and study online if I am living overseas?
You may be living overseas and considering Cairns or another location in Australia for your long term study and want to gain the foundation skills in business as a pathway to further Vocational or University study in Cairns.
It’s a great way to see what a field of study in Australia looks like, or what the teaching quality is like before you invest in moving to Australia and living away from home for a year or more.
If you achieve competency in your online studies you will receive an Australian nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for successfully completing a unit of study or a certificate for a full qualification.
Can I study online if I am visiting Australia from overseas?
If you are currently in Australia on a short term visa, such as a Visitor or Work and Holiday Visa, and would like to study a unit of competency online with YouSTUDY during your visit, contact our enrolment team: enrolments@youstudy.edu.au . Note: There are various types of visas available for visiting Australia and your ability to study online at our College will depend on a number of factors.
YouSTUDY does not offer an on-campus course, (we are a Distance Education College) so we are unable to accept international students that wish to study in Australia on a Student Visa in a registered full-time course in Australia.
YouSTUDY recommends that you refer to this Studying in Australia Visa information page on the Australian Government, Department of Immigration and Border Protection website. If you would like to come to Australia for a visit and short-term study, you may be able to apply for a visa such as a Visitor or Work and Holiday Visa.
